COMSEC is a component of cybersecurity concerned with the measures and controls taken to deny unauthorized persons information derived from telecommunications and to ensure the authenticity of such telecommunications. COMSEC includes cryptographic security, transmission security, emissions security, and physical security of COMSEC material. 1. As a member of a U.S. military service, agency, department, contractor or an authorized service vendor you have been selected to (COMSEC) information.
